Presentation of the Collector’s Album
“The Personalities of Greek Shipping 2023”
With a very successful Reception on Sunday, June 18, 2023, the Armed Forces Officers Club presented the Collector’s Album entitled “The Personalities of Greek Shipping” by the weekly, subscription-based, Maritime newspaper MARITIME ECONOMIES.
In the presence of 150 people from the shipping industry, the Editor of the newspaper Mr. Politis Dionisis made a historical review of the 11 years of the newspaper’s course, its present and its future.
This was followed by the award of two people who stand out in their field. To Mrs. Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou for her enormous contribution to the commercial and industrial sector of Athens as well as for her contribution to the promotion of Hellenism and to Mr. Vasilis Demetriades, former Deputy Minister of Shipping of Cyprus for his contribution to shipping.
Afterwards, honorary plaques were given to Kliaris Theodoros, Caretaker Minister of Shipping and Patoulis Georgios, Regional Governor of Attica.
The awards of the participants in the Collector’s Album followed, Mr. Plakiotakis Ioannis, Mr. Lymberopulos Julie, Mr. Vardikos Christos, Mr. Vernikos Georgios s, Mr. Vourlidis Giannis, Mr. Goutos Miltos, Mr. Drymoussis Konstantinos, Mr. Zolotas Spyridon, Mr. Kamarinakis Apostolos, Mr. Karyabas Elias, Mr. Kassidiaris Stavros, Mr. Katemidis Theodoros, Mr. Kirnidis Panos, Mr. Korkidis Vasilis, Mr. Kritikos Evangelos, Mr. Konstantinou Kostas, Mr. Leoutsakos Giannis, Mr. Leoutsakos Michalis, Mr. Maichosoglou Elias, Mr. Margetis Georgios, Mr. Mattheou Dimitris, Mr. Mavrikos Nikos, Machairas Konstantinos, Nielsen Philip, Daifa Eirini, Palaiologou Paillette, Politis Vasilis, Sarris Georgios, Stamatellos Theodosis, Tzortzatos Panayis, Tripolitis Markos, Tsiftsis Dimitris, Chilios Anastasios, Chiotopoulos Ioannis where they received the album in special packaging as well as a commemorative plaque.
