Στις 27 Απριλίου, πραγματοποιήθηκε η 1η Γενική Συνέλευση της 2ης Επιτροπής Χρηματοδότησης Ναυτιλίας του Κινεζικού Ινστιτούτου Ναυτιλίας- China Institute of Navigation (CIN) στο Κέντρο του China P&I Club (CPI). Ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της CPI, Dr. Song Chunfeng, εκλέχθηκε Διευθυντής της Επιτροπής ενώ ο Πρόεδρος της Ένωσης κ. Γιώργος Ξηραδάκης εκλέχθηκε ως Αναπληρωτής Διευθυντής της Επιτροπής.
Η Επιτροπή, η οποία αποτελείται από 89 μέλη, 76 από την ηπειρωτική Κίνα, 9 από το Χονγκ Κονγκ (Κίνα), 2 από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και 2 από την Ελλάδα, έχει ως στόχο την δημιουργία μιας δεξαμενής σκέψης για την καινοτόμο ανάπτυξη της χρηματοδότησης και ασφάλισης στη ναυτιλία. Επιδιώκει επίσης τη δημιουργία μιας πλατφόρμας ανταλλαγής πληροφοριών και ακαδημαϊκών συνεργασιών, προκειμένου να ενισχύσει την ευημερία του κλάδου, να ενοποιήσει πόρους από όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους φορείς ώστε να υπηρετήσει την πρόοδο των ακαδημαϊκών πεδίων της ναυτιλιακής χρηματοδότησης και ασφάλισης, να ενισχύσει τη σημασία του κλάδου στη γενικότερη ανάπτυξη των υπηρεσιών υψηλού επιπέδου στη ναυτιλία, και να υποστηρίξει την ποιοτική ανάπτυξη της πραγματικής οικονομίας της ναυτιλίας.
Το Κινεζικό Ινστιτούτο Ναυτιλίας (CIN) είναι ένας εθνικός, ακαδημαϊκός, μη κερδοσκοπικός κοινωνικός οργανισμός και διαδραματίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στην ανάπτυξη της ναυτικής επιστήμης και τεχνολογίας στην Κίνα. Η Επιτροπή Χρηματοδότησης Ναυτιλίας του Κινεζικού Ινστιτούτου Ναυτιλίας είναι κλάδος του CIN, ο οποίος ιδρύθηκε στις 10 Δεκεμβρίου 2018. Αρχικά ονομαζόταν «Επιτροπή Ναυτιλιακής Ασφάλισης» και μετονομάστηκε επισήμως σε «Επιτροπή Χρηματοδότησης Ναυτιλίας» με τη συγκατάθεση του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του CIN το 2020. Η Γραμματεία της Επιτροπής υποστηρίζεται από τo China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association (China P&I Club, CPI) για την υλοποίηση του έργου της.

Election of Mr. George Xiradakis, President of the Association, as Deputy Director of the 2nd Shipping Finance Committee of the China Institute of Navigation
On April 27, the 1st General Assembly of the 2nd Shipping Finance Committee of the China Institute of Navigation (CIN) was held at the headquarters of the China P&I Club (CPI). Dr. Song Chunfeng, CEO of CPI, was elected Director of the Committee, while the President of the Association, Mr. George Xiradakis, was elected as Deputy Director of the Committee.
The Committee, which consists of 89 members — 76 from China Mainland, 9 from Hong Kong (China), 2 from the United Kingdom, and 2 from Greece — aims to create a think tank for the innovative development of Shipping finance and insurance. It also seeks to establish a platform for information exchange and academic collaboration, in order to enhance the prosperity of the sector, consolidate resources from all stakeholders to advance the academic fields of shipping finance and insurance, strengthen the importance of the sector in the broader development of high-end maritime services, and support the quality development of the real economy in shipping.
The China Institute of Navigation (CIN) is a national, academic, non-profit social organization that plays a significant role in the development of maritime science and technology in China. The Shipping Finance Committee of the CIN is a branch of the Institute, established on December 10, 2018. It was initially named the “Shipping Insurance Committee” and was officially renamed the “Shipping Finance Committee” with the approval of CIN’s Board of Directors in 2020. The Secretariat of the Committee is supported by the China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association (China P&I Club, CPI) to implement its work.
